Amy Leigh Fernandez, LCSW

She/They

Hey there!

I am a clinical social worker and mom to two little ones. I am dog mom to an old, sleepy lab. I love my daily iced coffee, trash TV, queer romcoms, sleeping through the night, and going to the beach without my children! I am originally from Indiana, and I have lived all over the country. I am very happy to settle down in SoCal.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Purdue University in 2008. Shortly after, I moved to California and became involved in Family Readiness programs at Camp Pendleton where I was inspired by other families to pursue my masters! I went to graduate school at University of Southern California, where I fell in love with social work and completed my MSW in 2012.

I have worked with diverse populations, from homeless veterans to hospice, home health and palliative care patients and their caregivers, to domestic violence. From perinatal mental health and new parents to LGBT+ identity in queer adults. No matter the population, I find myself helping people through life transitions. I am humbled by the trust placed in me and honored to bear witness to the stories and experiences of my clients.
