Hold Space Healing

”When you hold space for someone, you bring your entire presence to them. You walk along with them without judgment, sharing their journey to an unknown destination. Yet you're completely willing to end up wherever they need to go. You give your heart, let go of control, and offer unconditional support.”

WELCOME!

Deciding to start the journey of therapy is something people come to for so many reasons. To heal trauma. To grieve. To vent to someone outside their life who gets it. To find the way through a huge life transition. To discover who they are. To learn better ways to cope. To find a way to become un-stuck when things just aren’t working. It is about sitting through feelings in a safe space where you can develop new patterns and experience emotional wellness and healing.

MY APPROACH

I practice from a variety of theoretical frameworks, drawing on aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches through a trauma-informed lens. This involves identifying and challenging present thought patterns and resultant behaviors, while also looking deeper to how intergenerational trauma, past experiences and the subconscious might be playing a part in ones situation.

I am strengths-based and person-centered. Social workers consider a client in the context of their environment and the many systems to which they belong. This allows us to be resourceful, looking outside the therapy office into a client’s lived experience. Like so many other social workers, I bring this unique training and perspective to my therapy practice.
